BOOKINGS & ARRIVALS

  • Check‑in from 3:00 pm so you can settle in and start exploring Golden Bay.

    Check-out is by 10:00 am. If you’d like a little extra time, please let us know and we’ll do our best to help (subject to availability).

  • Guests must be 18+ to book. Please have photo ID available at check‑in. Guests under 18 stay with a parent or guardian.

  • Infants (0–2 years): complimentary infant cots, subject to availability.

    Children 3–12 years: stay free using existing bedding (roll‑away beds are not available).

    Occupancy: Deluxe Triple accommodates up to 3 guests; Deluxe Rooms accommodate up to 2 guests.

    Extra person: NZD 100 per additional guest (where the room type allows).

  • A valid credit card secures your reservation; online bookings are charged at the time of booking.

    Payments are by EFTPOS or credit card (Visa, Mastercard). A 2.5% card surcharge applies. AMEX and Diners are not accepted. We are a cash‑free lodge.

    All pricing is in NZD and includes 15% GST.

CANCELLATION & REFUNDS

    • Best Available Rate: Cancel up to 7 days before arrival. Inside 7 days a fee of up to one night may apply; no‑shows forfeit full charges.

    • Prepaid Rates: Great value on select dates. These are prepaid and non‑refundable; you’re welcome to move to a new date—any difference in nightly rate simply applies.

    • Packages & Specials: Individual terms are shown at the time of booking.

  • Eligible refunds are returned to the same card used for payment. Card surcharges aren’t refundable. Exchange rates may vary for international cards.

ROOMS & AMENITIES

  • Enjoy a cooked breakfast each morning in our sunny breakfast room.

    Samsung Smart TV, tea & coffee making, hairdryer, ironing facilities, outdoor seating.

    Unlimited free Wi‑Fi and complimentary onsite parking.

  • Daily service between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.

    Guest laundry service available (wash/dry/fold).

DINING

  • Breakfast: 7:30 am – 11:00 am

    Tapas & Drinks: from 2:00 pm

    Dinner: 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm

    Our restaurant and lounge bar are open to the public—reservations recommended.

FACILITIES & SERVICES

  • Small outdoor salt‑water pool and hot tub (open until 10:00 pm).

    Complimentary parking and unlimited Wi‑Fi.

    Concierge assistance for activity bookings and local recommendations.

  • Yes. All guest rooms and indoor common areas are smoke‑free. A refresh fee applies if smoke is detected.

  • Yes—Lodge shuttle transfers can be arranged to Totaranui or Wainui (fees apply; advance booking essential).

MEETINGS, EVENTS & EXCLUSIVE USE

  • Yes. Take over the Lodge for a private house‑party feel—10 rooms hosting up to 20 guests (twin share) on site, with space for an additional 40 dining guests.

    Spaces include a spacious bar & dining room opening to a sunny veranda and the Tarakohe Room for meetings, breakout sessions or private dining.

    Share your goals and we’ll tailor spaces, timings and menus to suit your programme.

GETTING HERE

  • By car: Drive State Highway 60 over Tākaka Hill from Nelson/Richmond to Tākaka, then continue 9 km on Abel Tasman Drive to Pohara (allow ~1.5–2 hours from Nelson).

    By air: Fly with Golden Bay Air to Tākaka Airport from Wellington or Nelson, then it’s about a 15–20 minute drive to the Lodge. Shuttles and rental cars are available.

    By bus/shuttle: Golden Bay Coachlines operates scheduled services between Nelson and Tākaka, with local connections—check current timetables.
